Copeland & Rice LLP partner Gwen Samora served as lead counsel presenting the oral argument on behalf of a major oil and gas company. Gwen successfully obtained the reversal and rendition of a $4 million judgment on the company’s behalf in a royalty dispute with lessors.
The company argued the market value royalty provision in the lease was modified by a subsequent clause dealing with the terms that were to be included in a gas purchase contract.
