We are pleased to announce that Russell T. Gips has joined Copeland & Rice as a partner, effective July 9, 2018. Russell is a commercial litigator whose practice focuses on representing oil and gas companies. He practiced at Vinson & Elkins for close to nine years before joining Copeland & Rice.
Russell brings to Copeland & Rice significant experience handling energy disputes including royalty litigation, drainage and development claims, JOA disputes, title disputes, asset acquisition and divestiture disputes, and federal regulatory actions. In addition to his energy litigation experience, Russell has represented clients across a variety of industries in contract disputes, business tort litigation, shareholder disputes, property damage litigation, intellectual property litigation, and property tax disputes. Russell’s clients include domestic and international E&P companies, midstream service providers, oilfield service providers, and commercial property owners.
