Trial Lawyer Kristina Crump Wins Asylum on Behalf of LGBT Client

Copeland & Rice trial lawyer Kristina Crump maintains an active and fulfilling pro bono docket. Last year, Kristina led a team that won asylum on behalf of an LGBT sexual assault survivor who was forced to flee to the United States from El Salvador. After working diligently to have the individual released from detention on bond, Kristina and the team secured a grant of asylum from a federal immigration judge in a contested final merits hearing. The Department of Homeland Security waived appeal, cementing the client’s entitlement to asylum. Congratulations to Kristina on this rewarding win. Read more about her work here.
